A striking distinction is whether a chain focuses on fast food, often (but not always) without too much attention to health and with an emphasis on fast service and an attractive price. In contrast, there are increasingly more chains that explicitly respond to the food trend in which healthy and conscious consumption is central. Younger generations in particular want their food consumption not to cause unnecessary damage to, for example, the world, environment, people or animals. For example, consumers want to be able to check whether it has been produced sustainably, where it comes from, whether it is healthy and by whom it was made. We eat less meat, but if we do, we are willing to pay more for good quality from an animal that has been treated well in our eyes. Reliable quality marks contribute to confidence in a product.

Thematization in catering franchise concepts

There are also increasingly more catering franchise formulas that focus on one particular product or theme. Specialized chains focus, for example, on coffee, bread, yogurt and ice cream, pizzas, pancakes or tortillas. There are also more and more new to-go concepts. Here too, the healthy and conscious trend is often central.

Catering franchise fee

When choosing a franchise concept, you can therefore already consider which type of catering suits you best. And perhaps there is a certain product with which you have extra affinity. Furthermore, it is of course important that you can get it financed. Each formula asks for a different franchise fee. This is an annual fee that the franchisee pays to the franchisor. This is often a percentage of the turnover. This fee is intended, among other things, for national marketing, purchasing and cash register systems.
