JURA coffee beans

Kaldi only sells the best espresso machines, which is why you'll find JURA machines, among others, with us. The JURA coffee machine is the pride of every coffee connoisseur. If you want an espresso machine for home, you should look for one that can build high pressure, such as a model with a pump, as this extracts more flavour from the coffee. However, to fully enjoy your JURA machine, you naturally also want to know which beans are best to use. We are happy to help you with that.

Which coffee beans for JURA?

Simply put, we advise: use high-quality Arabica coffee beans for your JURA coffee machine.

The high quality is not only better for the machine, but also for the flavour notes and aromas released when brewing coffee. What causes this? This is partly due to the coffee variety, the picking method, and the roasting of coffee beans.

Blends and roasting

Coffee is exported as green beans. These are sent in bags around the world and then roasted by specialized coffee roasters to bring out their subtle flavours. As the beans become warm and shiny brown, the oils that form the secret of the fantastic taste are released. After roasting, the beans can have various colors, from light brown to medium brown to very dark beans. The strength of the beans depends on the roast: the lighter the beans are roasted, the milder and softer the coffee taste. A dark roasted bean, on the other hand, yields wonderfully bitter, sharp flavours.

The art of blending is mixing different beans to find a harmonious balance of flavours, acidity, and body. At Kaldi, in addition to single estate coffees (coffee from one and the same plantation) and single origin coffees (coffee from a specific area), you will find various blends. To create and maintain the blends, knowledge is required, and the roaster/blender must constantly taste, as the taste of beans from the same plantation can vary per harvest.

High-quality Arabica coffee beans?

If you like mild and aromatic and don't want to risk a clogged machine, choose Arabica coffee beans. Note that this does not guarantee one hundred percent good coffee. There are countless blends, and the quality varies greatly. Moreover, the roasting also determines a large part of the taste.

Get information at a Kaldi store and keep tasting until you find your favorite. If you still want to enjoy those spicy flavour notes, extra beautiful crema layer, and caffeine boost from Robusta beans, choose a blend with a lot of Arabica and a little Robusta. This minimizes the chance of your machine clogging.
