You'll find the best coffee for the office at Kaldi. Why? Among other reasons, because our coffee is carefully selected and roasted, is Rainforest Alliance certified, and has an optimal shelf life.
The best coffee in the office: quality and taste
You'll find the best coffee in the office at Kaldi. Kaldi pays extra attention to selecting the right beans to offer optimal quality and taste experience. Kaldi coffee is Rainforest Alliance certified. This is a quality mark for working conditions, environment, and nature conservation.
The best quality coffee grows around the equator. The warm and humid climate of the tropics offers the ideal conditions for the perfect coffee bean.
Most beans are still hand-picked, as the beans do not always ripen at the same time. This allows for multiple harvests from the same plant.
The most famous coffee beans are Arabica and Robusta. The Arabica bean grows at high altitudes, is aromatic, and soft in taste. The Robusta bean is strong and acidic in taste.
The best coffee in terms of taste
Kaldi coffee is roasted by one of the nine certified Q-Graders in the Netherlands. This ensures the high quality of the coffee.
The roasting of coffee greatly influences its taste. Lightly roasted beans result in a mild and smooth-tasting coffee, yielding the highest quality coffee. Medium roasting gives the coffee more body, and dark roasting makes the coffee stronger in taste and more bitter. The darker the bean, the more intense the flavour.
Tasting coffee is similar to tasting wine. However, the taste of wine lingers longer on the taste buds, making it easier to evaluate. But with coffee, it's certainly not impossible! By frequently tasting coffee, you can better distinguish between different types of coffee. This way, you can discover your favorite coffee. For example, try the Kaldi tasting package and discover the differences between strong and mild coffee. Or get three coffees from different continents and try to notice the main characteristics of, for example, African, Asian, and South American coffee. Coffee from Ethiopia, for instance, is typically slightly floral and acidic, while coffee from Sumatra is relatively heavy and has low acidity.
The best office coffee: hygiene and shelf life
Kaldi offers the best coffee for the office, and naturally, attaches great importance to hygiene and shelf life. The packaging of all coffee varieties is fully recyclable; the entire package can be disposed of with PMD waste. During the packaging process, the coffee is degassed. This means there is a negligible amount of oxygen (0.7%) in the coffee packaging.
The coffee is packaged in a clean environment. All bags are also re-sealable, allowing the beans to retain their quality for as long as possible.
Our coffee bags have a valve, which allows the natural preservative carbon dioxide to easily exit the bag, and prevents oxygen from entering. The result is that the bag does not bulge and the coffee stays fresh. If oxygen gets to the coffee, the oils are released and with them, the aroma, and thus the taste, is lost.
The best place to store coffee is in a dark, cool, and dry place.
So, at Kaldi, you get the best coffee for the office!
