How do you make tea?

How do you make the most delicious cup of tea? If you are a tea lover and are looking for your ideal cup of tea, it is important to know what to look out for. You can read the important tips in this blog.

Storing Tea

First of all, it is important to store tea in an airtight container. Tea is hygroscopic; it absorbs moisture and odors. Keep your tea away from moisture, heat, light, and odors. It is best to store tea in a cool, dry place where the temperature does not exceed 30 degrees Celsius. If you want to store the tea longer, you can also store it in an airtight bag or ceramic container in the refrigerator.

Water

A cup of tea consists of 99% water. The quality of the water is at least as important as the tea itself. Water with many minerals (especially calcium or magnesium), also known as hard water, is not suitable for making tea. Desalinated seawater or water that has been boiled multiple times are also not preferred for tea. This is because it can break down dissolved gases, increasing the concentration of nitrates, fluoride, and other undesirable elements, which makes the tea taste less good. Spring water is best for making tea. Make sure to clean the teapot thoroughly, as even a poorly cleaned teapot can affect the taste of your tea. If your water is mineral-rich or contains chlorine, fluoride, or other chemicals, you can use a carbon filter.

How long should tea steep

It is also important to know how much tea to use and how long each type of tea should steep. Read this blog for more information.

Stir the tea halfway through the steeping time. This is recommended because tea leaves tend to accumulate at the bottom of the teapot or cup, reducing contact between the tea leaves and the water.
