About the Cenfrocafe co-operative

Cenfrocafe is a sustainable coffee cooperative that has grown since 1999 from 11 associations with 2,200 growers to 2,400 members. Farmers manage small farms of 4–10 hectares and are rewarded based on quality. The cooperative focuses on cupping and careful selection of coffee batches, and maintains high quality standards for its APU and Chasqui coffees.

About the farmers

The farmers use organic compost and Guano de Isla, a natural fertilizer that strengthens the coffee trees. Through careful pruning and avoiding overproduction, the plantations remain healthy, even during rust outbreaks. The coffee is dried in parabolic dryers, preserving flavour and shelf life for up to 11 months after harvest.

About the Peru

Our Peru is a flavourful coffee with notes of cane sugar, red grapes, and caramelized apple. Due to high-altitude cultivation and crop processing, it is beautifully balanced and soft in character.
